By accessing or using FileMorphs (the “service”), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Acceptance and who may use it
There is no account to create; using the service is how you accept these Terms. You may use it only if you can form a binding contract under the law that applies to you. If you use it for an organization, you accept these Terms on its behalf.
What FileMorphs is
FileMorphs is a set of PDF tools (convert, merge, split, redact, rotate, protect, and OCR) that run in your browser. It is provided free, as a convenience. We may change, add, or remove tools, or stop offering the service, at any time and without notice.
Licence
We grant you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the service for your own personal or business purposes, subject to these Terms.
FileMorphs is closed-source. Except where the law expressly allows despite this restriction, you may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, scrape, frame, resell, or build a competing service from any part of it, including its processing engine, bank parsers, and templates. All rights not granted to you are reserved.
Your files and your responsibility
Your files are yours, and they stay with you. The service never receives them. Because the processing runs on your device, you alone control your files and their outputs.
You are responsible for your files and for checking the results. Verify every output before you rely on it: that a conversion is accurate, that a redaction has truly removed the content beneath it, and that a merged, split, or protected file is what you intended. Keep your own backups. The service is not a substitute for your own review.
You remain responsible for meeting any legal, professional, or regulatory duty that applies to you and to the documents you process.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the service for anything unlawful, or to process content you have no right to process;
- upload, create, or distribute malware, or use the service to harm others;
- attempt to break, bypass, or test the service’s isolation or security, or to reach another person’s data;
- overload, disrupt, or interfere with the service or the systems behind it;
- circumvent any limit, or misrepresent who you are.
We may suspend or block access at any time to protect the service or other people.
Ads and third parties
Pages other than the OCR tool will show ads inside a sandboxed frame served by a separate ad company. Those ads, and any site they link to, are controlled by third parties under their own terms and policies. We do not endorse them, we are not responsible for third-party content, products, or sites, and any dealings you have with them are between you and them.
No warranties
The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” with all faults. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, and any warranty that the service will be accurate, available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. You use the service at your own risk.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator of FileMorphs will not be liable for any damages of any kind arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the service (including indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, and any loss of data, files, profits, goodwill, or results), even if we were told such damages were possible.
Where liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, it is limited to the amount you paid to use the service in the 12 months before the claim, which for a free service is zero.
What we cannot disclaim. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the law that applies to you. That includes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and any mandatory rights you have as a consumer. Where a court finds any exclusion above too broad, it applies to the maximum extent the law allows.
Changes to these Terms
We may change these Terms. The current version is always at https://filemorphs.com/terms, with the last-updated date at the top. Changes take effect when posted; if you keep using the service afterwards, you accept the new Terms.
Governing law and general terms
These Terms are governed by the laws of Italy, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you use the service as a consumer, this does not remove the mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live, and you may bring claims in your local courts where the law gives you that right.
- Severability. If a term is unenforceable, it is removed and the rest stays in force.
- Entire agreement. These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the service.
- No waiver. If we do not enforce a term, we do not give up the right to enforce it later.
- No assignment. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent.
