This policy explains the little that FileMorphs does collect when you use https://filemorphs.com, why, and the rights you have. It is short because there is not much to tell.
The short version
- Your PDFs are processed in your browser. Nothing about your files (their content, size, or a hash of them) is uploaded.
- There are no accounts and no sign-in. We do not ask for your name or email to use the tools.
- We run no analytics or visitor tracking on any page.
- We plan to show ads on some pages to cover costs. They are not running yet; when they are, they will sit inside an isolated frame that cannot read your files.
- The OCR tool runs ad-free.
Your files never leave your browser
Every FileMorphs tool runs on your device, in your browser, using WebAssembly. When you open, convert, merge, split, redact, rotate, or otherwise process a PDF, the work happens locally. No server receives your file, and nothing derived from it (its contents, its size, or a hash of it) is sent anywhere.
To build certain outputs, a tool may read one fixed, read-only resource from our own asset host (assets.filemorphs.com). That request carries no information about your file. Apart from loading the page itself, it is the only first-party network call a tool makes while you work.
What the site does collect
Server logs. FileMorphs is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes standard request data (your IP address, browser type, and which pages you request) to serve the site and protect it from abuse. This is ordinary server logging and never includes your files.
Analytics. We use no analytics. Neither our marketing pages nor the tool pages run any analytics, visitor tracking, or measurement service, and we set no identifier on your device.
No accounts. There is no sign-up, no login, and no payment. We do not ask for, or store, your name, email, or any other personal detail to let you use the tools.
Cookies and ads
We set no first-party cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking, and we run no analytics. The only storage the tools use is on your own device, to run the tool, and it is not sent to us.
We plan to show ads on pages other than the OCR tool to cover costs. Ads are not running yet. When they are, each ad will load inside a sandboxed frame served from a separate ad company, isolated so the ad cannot reach your files or the rest of the page.
That ad company operates under its own privacy policy and may set its own cookies inside its frame. Those cookies are the ad company’s, not ours, and we cannot read them. Once an ad provider is in place, we will name it and link its policy here.
Your rights
Because FileMorphs collects almost nothing about you, there is usually little personal data to act on. Where the law gives you rights, they still apply.
EU, EEA, and UK. Under the GDPR and UK GDPR you can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and to data portability. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. You can also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection supervisory authority.
California and other US states. You can ask what personal information is collected about you, ask for it to be deleted, and opt out of its sale or sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell your personal information. If ads later involve such sharing, we will honor the Global Privacy Control browser signal.
The controller responsible for this site is the operator of FileMorphs. To exercise any right, email privacy@filemorphs.com. We respond within the time the applicable law allows.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The current version is always at https://filemorphs.com/privacy, with the effective and last-updated dates at the top. If we make a material change, we will note it on this page.
Who we are and how to contact us
FileMorphs is run by a sole operator. We identify ourselves by the brand name FileMorphs rather than a personal or company name, and we do not publish a postal address.
